The head of SPAK, Klodjan Braho, said today that based on figures, the criminal activity of money laundering is present in the country.

In his speech to the Civic Initiatives Committee, Braho stated that SPAK's investigations are based on evidence and prosecutors' files.

Regarding the progress of registering these cases, the Head of the Special Prosecution Office stated that the investigations have also led to the filing of charges.

"The progress of registering cases related to money laundering over the years should be clear to the public. The figures show that this criminal activity is present. This phenomenon will also have future investigations. As for companies, we do not investigate companies, but we rely on evidence and files. When dealing with such issues, investigations in some cases have led to charges being filed against persons who are indirect owners. I think there is opportunity and ground for more. There is no number that corresponds to any perception or analysis," said Braho. /CNA
