The arrest of Erion Veliaj, the imprisonment of many crime figures, the strong clashes over SPAK, and the fight for justice have created a huge vortex of intrigues and scenarios against SPAK.

On March 27, a hearing is expected at the Constitutional Court regarding whether a judge or prosecutor can be appointed directly to SPAK and GJKKO without first going through a special filter.

SPAK has its own vetting process for all justice system officials who go to this institution or to the GJKKO, so it runs a scanner.

Some characters who have not been able to pass and receive this appointment, people with problems, even though they have passed the vetting, because there are those who have passed the vetting and have quite large advantages, not only in wealth, but also in professionalism or certain connections with crime, are making a "war" for them.

So, on March 27, they want to overturn the vetting within SPAK and GJKKO and anyone from within the justice system who has passed the first vetting, that is, the vetting that has been completed, the process that is now ending, and GJKKO and SPAK to be filled with judges and prosecutors of any level, but who meet the criteria, but we emphasize without going through the vetting filter within SPAK.

This is what they want to avoid.

Therefore, they have taken the matter to the Constitutional Court and are requesting that individuals in the justice system with problems as we highlighted or with major shortcomings go to this structure.

Everything that is being done is in function of this and the articulation in defense of the Constitutional Court that the wiretapping of members of the Constitutional Court was a major "crime" when in fact it was carried out within the law and no one has contested it with legal arguments, has a final goal: to strike at the vetting within SPAK, the last filter that ensures truly honest and inviolable prosecutors and judges in their professional image. / CNA
