The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has given optimistic messages regarding integration into the European Union.
During her visit to North Macedonia, Von der Leyen met the Minister of Internal Affairs, Bujar Osmani, President Stevo Pendarovski and Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski.
Through a status on social networks, the EC President says that she will give full support to the opening of negotiations.
" I assured President Pendarovski and Prime Minister Kovachevski of my full support for progress towards making North Macedonia a member state of the EU," she writes.
Meanwhile, during the speech in the Parliament, Von der Leyen declared that it is the right moment to move forward
"Europe is waiting for you. We expect and hope that you will take another step towards the Union. Today I am here because I believe that this is the right moment to move forward ", she emphasized./ CNA.al
