The mayor of Pogradec, Ilir Xhakolli, has reacted to the news that his son-in-law has been handcuffed in Ohrid, after the discovery of a cannabis factory.

Xhakolli denied the news and stated that his son-in-law is with his family in Turkey. The socialist mayor has emphasized that his son-in-law has nothing to do with the event in North Macedonia.

"I myself am on vacation in Greece with my family, while my son-in-law is with his family in Turkey. He was not arrested at all and has nothing to do with this event", he told the media.

Ndërkohë, kujtojmë se policia maqedonase ka zbuluar 3.000 rrënjë ilegale të marijuanës, 100 litra vaj kanabisi, si dhe 600 kg kanabis i tharë.

Fabrika ka qenë e regjistruar si filial i kompanisë "Greenego 2018" nga fshati Drsllajcë i Strugës, por nuk ka pasur licencë për prodhim të marijuanës. Sipas mediave, në këtë aksion janë arrestuar 10 persona, mes tyre edhe dhëndri i kryetarit të Bashkisë së Pogradecit, për të cilin thuhet se ka qenë pronar i fshehur i kësaj “fabrike”, lajm ky i hedhur poshtë nga Xhakolli./ B.A. – CNA.al
