The head of the National Chamber of Advocacy, Maks Haxhia, has warned of the next step, during the protest in front of the Supreme Judicial Council.
Maks Haxhia said that if he doesn't see any reaction to the requests submitted by the lawyers for the new judicial map, they will go to the Constitutional Court.
"Our gathering is a high culture of democracy in Albania. We do not set red lines, we are intellectuals, we are professionals, we have presented our arguments so that the justice we claim and is the object of this reform, is effective and reliable. We have proposed many variants that are more feasible and convincing.
We will definitely go to the Constitutional Court, it is the last way and the last act for this map. We do not protest to show our strength.
At the same time, we are waiting and hoping that there will be a reaction from the KLJJ, then the legal path is a constitutional path that we own perfectly", he declared, among other things.
Haxhia emphasized that every step taken by lawyers is in compliance with the legislation on the role of lawyers./ BA - CNA.al
