Dumani: 10 senior public officials have been sentenced with a final decision

The Head of the Special Prosecution Office, Altin Dumani, reported today before the Laws Committee on the institution's activity during 2024.

In his speech, Dumani also touched on the issues of senior public officials in the country.

The head of SPAK stated that throughout 2024, 10 senior public officials have been sentenced by final court decision.

"Regarding corruption, during 2024 the indicators show an increasing trend in the fight against corruption of public officials. 12.3% have been transferred to the General Jurisdiction Prosecutor's Offices, about 1% have been suspended, while about 67.4% of the cases remain part of the investigations for 2025. In 2024, there are 10 senior officials for whom there has been a court decision that has become final. As for the measurement of the risk level, they show a high and stable level of risk, expansion in several categories of crimes and with a direct impact on public governance, institutional integrity and the national economy", - said Dumani. /CNA
