Drunk driver involved in accident at Patoku overpass/Young man arrested

A 24-year-old man has been arrested by Lezha police for driving while intoxicated, a vehicle that was involved in an accident on the Patoku overpass this morning.

The young man with the initials MH collided with the vehicle driven by citizen EK, 40 years old. Two people were injured in the accident and were urgently sent for medical assistance to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.

"The Lezha Traffic Police Services arrested citizen MH, 24 years old, resident of Lezha, after, on 12.10.2025, at around 07:30, a road accident with material damage occurred at the Patoku overpass, involving the vehicle driven by him and the vehicle driven by citizen EK, 40 years old. After conducting an alcohol test, citizen MH was found to be intoxicated, " the Lezha police said in a statement./CNA
