PS Abandonment/ MP "rebukes" Rama

Marjana Koçeku, who left the Socialist Party during the protests against the government, has expressed concern about the fires that have engulfed the country.

Koçek has stated that the 4 million euros that the government will finance for the Kanye West concert should be invested in fire prevention, supporting residents and strengthening emergency capacities.

According to her, the state and accountability are not replaced by spectacle.

"Last year our country went through a fire disaster. I have seen firsthand the extraordinary damage done to nature. This year the situation is expected to be even more alarming due to high temperatures.

The 4 million euros of a single-use stadium should have been invested in fire prevention, supporting residents, and strengthening emergency capacities.
