Government's appeal on the "Balluku" case/ Constitutional Court

The Constitutional Court has rejected the government's appeal against the decision to suspend Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku from office. 

It is learned that the judges voted 4 in favor and 4 against, thus not having the necessary quorum of votes for a decision in favor or against. As a result, the government's request was rejected and the suspension from duty, imposed by the GJKKO, was reinstated. 

We recall that the government opposed the decision of the Special Court, which had issued the measure to suspend Balluk, while the Constitutional Court decided in December to reinstate Balluk in government functions until a final decision is made. /CNA
