OFFICIAL/ Pioli fired, it is revealed who will lead Fiorentina

Fiorentina have officially sacked coach Stefano Pioli after a poor start to the season. The purple team is in last place in Serie A, without a win in its first ten matches, with only four draws and six losses.

Although the performance in the Conference League has been more positive, it was not enough to save the coach. Pioli, who returned to Fiorentina this summer after an experience in Saudi Arabia with Al Nassr, had signed a contract until 2028 with a gross salary of 5 million euros per season.

The club requested that the separation be done by resignation to avoid paying the full compensation, but the coach refused.

Disputes over the payment of a €5 million termination fee led to the intervention of president Commisso, who authorized the dismissal. Daniele Galloppa has temporarily taken charge of the team, pending an agreement with coach Roberto D'Aversa.
