Meeting with history, Kosovo publishes the list for the duels against Slovenia

The Kosovo national team is entering a historic moment in the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign, with a real chance of securing its first ever play-off spot. Coach Franko Foda has released the list of players selected for the November matches, ending any doubts about the composition of the team that will face Slovenia and Switzerland.

The main list includes 28 players, while 11 others are kept on the extended list for any emergency. An important news is the return of captain Amir Rrahmani, who after a period of absence returns to lead the defense. He will have well-known names like Mërgim Vojvoda, Fidan Aliti and Lumbardh Dellova on his side.

The midfield and attack include some of the most experienced and influential players, including Valon Berisha, Elvis Rexhbecaj, Edon Zhegrova, Milot Rashica, Florent Muslija and the leading scorer, Vedat Muriqi.

The team will gather on November 10, while preparing for the first match against Slovenia, which will be played on November 15 in a transfer. Three days later, on November 18, Kosovo will face Switzerland at the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium in Pristina, in what could be a decisive match for its history.

Currently, Kosovo is ranked second in the group with 7 points and holds a position that ensures qualification for the play-off phase. A draw in the first match against Slovenia would be enough to seal this achievement, while a victory would give Foda's team an even greater boost in the standings.
