Serie A "disappears" the red ball, the decision is made

Serie A is expected to end the use of the red ball, a historic element of the Italian championship in matches with difficult weather conditions.

According to "gazzetta.it", the League is working to completely eliminate this practice from next season. The decision is related to technological developments and improved visibility in stadiums.

Modern lighting, pitch quality and high-definition television broadcasts have made this solution unnecessary. Instead of the red ball, standard balls with updated designs will be used.

The league aims for uniformity and the same standards in every match. The red ball remains a historical symbol of Serie A, associated with many matches played in the winter. The decision is expected to be made official soon.
