Sassuolo "embarrasses" Atalanta, Berardi shines with a double

Atalanta are struggling to recover from their crisis in the Italian championship. The Bergamo team was defeated 3-0 at home by Sassuolo, thus recording their seventh consecutive match without a win in Serie A.

Sassuolo got into the game better and managed to win a penalty in the 28th minute, after goalkeeper Carnesecchi fouled Pinamonti. Domenico Berardi took the kick and scored accurately, giving the visitors the lead.

In the second half, the situation worsened for the home team. Just two minutes after the restart, Berardi assisted Pinamonti in the area and the latter sent the ball into the net for the score 2-0.

In the final minutes, everything was sealed again by Berardi, who took advantage of a precise deep pass and scored the third goal for his team.

With this victory, Sassuolo climbs to eighth place in the standings, continuing their positive performance in the Italian football elite. Meanwhile, Atalanta falls to 13th place with only two wins in 11 matches, while the pressure on coach Juric is increasing significantly.
