Oliver Kahn explodes after Bayern's elimination: This was robbery, the 3

Bayern Munich legend Oliver Kahn has unleashed harsh criticism after the German team's elimination from the Champions League semi-final against PSG.

Although the return match ended in a 1-1 draw, Bayern were eliminated due to a 5-4 loss in the first leg.

Kahn has described the trial as a "robbery", listing three flagrant cases where, according to him, the Bavarians were severely harmed.

According to Kahn, the use of VAR in these cases was a failure and the referee's decisions changed the course of the game at a level where maximum fairness is expected.

He stressed that these mistakes do not only affect Bayern, but the integrity of all European football, demanding more accountability from the authorities in the most important club competition in the world.

"I've been in this game for decades, as a player, captain and now at the club and I've never seen three clearer decisions ignored on one Champions League night. This wasn't a football match, this was a robbery and every Bayern fan knows that.

Let's start with the Nuno Mendes incident. He's already booked, everyone knows that. The ball is kicked and his arm is clearly open, there's a clear handball. Now, we can argue about the goal all day, but the modern interpretation is about position and impact, and his arm is in an unnatural position blocking play.

That alone puts him in serious trouble. When you're already booked, you just can't take that kind of risk. It's basic football intelligence. This should be a second yellow card, no question. Instead, the referee looks at it and decides... nothing. No accountability, no consistency. So what should the players think? That the rules change depending on the moment?

And then we get to the penalty situation, which for me is even more shocking. Vitinha clears the ball, yes, but what happens next is the key point. The ball makes contact with Neves' hand inside the penalty area. I keep hearing people say, "oh, it came from a teammate," then what? Since when did that cancel out a handball?

The laws of the game don't say "only if it comes from the opponent". A handball is a handball if it creates an unfair situation, and here it absolutely does. His arm is involved, the ball changes its path and Bayern are denied a clear chance. At this level, with VAR available, how can you not give that away?

"And then, to top it all off, you punish Luis Diaz for protesting? For reacting to a clear foul that wasn't called? So now we punish players not only for making bad decisions, but also for showing emotion about those bad decisions? This is unbelievable. You're asking players to be robots in moments when everything is at stake ," Kahn said.
