Abdyl Kuriu: Let's move forward with our projects and develop grassroots

After taking office as Technical Director of the Albanian Football Association, Abdyl Kuriu immediately began work on the continuation and further development of this directorate.

With his long experience in the Federation, as a member of the Executive Committee, he aims to advance existing projects and increase the focus on grassroots football, talent development and strengthening national teams.

In an interview with the Albanian Football Association, Kuriu shares his appreciation for the trust given, talks about his first priorities in office and focuses on the main areas of work of the Technical Directorate, from the "Elite Youth" academy to girls' football.

"I feel very appreciated and for this I would like to thank the President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, because he appreciated my figure and work throughout the time we have been in the Federation together, entrusting me with the leadership of the Technical Directorate.

The Technical Directorate has a wide range of activities, but I believe that the priority at the start of my work was working on grassroots football, massification and finding talent.

The "Elite Youth" Academy is a collaboration between the Albanian Football Association and UEFA, a very good collaboration, so far it has gone very well and we intend to take it to a higher level because we consider it a very good source for future talents, who will serve us in the national youth teams and beyond.

I think that the national youth teams are on the right track, they have worked well and I think that this work should continue and be raised to an even higher level because we have our claims that through the national youth teams, tomorrow we will supply the national A team with talent.

"It has been, is and will always be the focus of our work. We will continue the projects that have started and are ongoing," Kuriu said.
