According to Neuendorf, the Federation cannot continue its work without analyzing the reasons for the failure.

"After the bitter defeat against Paraguay and the elimination from the World Cup, I sat down for a long time with national team coach Julian Nagelsmann and the management team. We agree that the performance at the World Cup did not meet our expectations.

"After such a failure and considering the challenges that await us, we cannot and will not simply return to business as usual," said the head of the Federation.

German media reports that Nagelsmann's position has weakened after poor results in recent major competitions. Although the coach has a contract until 2028, his future remains unclear. The coming days are expected to be decisive for the leadership of the German national team.
