Lookman closes in on Atalanta, agreement with new team almost reached

The transfer saga involving Ademola Lookman could end very soon, with Fenerbahçe intensifying contacts to transfer the Nigerian striker to Turkey.

Talks with Atalanta are progressing at a rapid pace and the Turkish club aims to have the player ready for Monday's match against Kocaelispor.

The total package of the operation amounts to 40 million euros, 35 million plus 5 million bonuses. Atalanta has not yet given final approval, but the figures are close to the demands of the Bergamo club.

Lookman would sign a four-and-a-half-year contract, with a salary of around 9 million euros per season, including bonuses. Atletico Madrid have also entered the race, looking for a replacement for Raspador, who was sold to Atalanta.

This transfer would also have an impact on Milan, reducing the likelihood of Christopher Nkunku leaving. The Frenchman remains a target for Domenico Tedesco, but is currently only considered an alternative.
