The Azerbaijan Formula 1 Grand Prix ended with another great success for Max Verstappen. The Red Bull driver confirmed his dominance once again, recording his fourth victory of the season after triumphs at Suzuka, Imola and Monza.

On the Baku track, Verstappen broke away early and never doubted victory, crossing the finish line first.

Behind him, second place went to George Russell in Mercedes, who put in a solid performance and managed to maintain the pace for most of the race. The podium was completed by Carlos Sainz in Williams, who started from the front row and made the most of his car's potential to secure an important result.

Mercedes also had success with Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who finished fourth. For the young Italian, this result was a positive sign after a difficult period, putting him back in contention for the podium. Another pleasant surprise came from Liam Lawson, who managed to finish fifth with Racing Bulls, confirming the team's progress.

The race was more difficult for McLaren and Ferrari. Oscar Piastri, who held the lead in the general classification, made a big mistake at the start by moving too early, lost positions and after just a few seconds crashed into the wall, an incident that reminded him of the mistake he made in the official tests. For the Australian it was a race to forget, as he was forced to retire very quickly. On the other hand, his teammate, Lando Norris, managed to partially save the situation with seventh place, behind the Red Bull of Yuki Tsunoda.

At Ferrari, the weekend was also disappointing. Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc failed to climb into the top half of the standings. Hamilton finished ahead of his teammate, but a late move to retake Leclerc's position failed to work, leaving both out of contention for the top spot. In the end, the top ten was completed by Isack Hadjar with Racing Bulls, giving the team another result to celebrate.

With this victory, Verstappen further strengthens his position in the championship, while his main rivals fell behind, leaving the Dutchman of Red Bull another step forward towards the title.
