3-0 win not enough, Barcelona eliminated from the Cup

Barcelona have been eliminated from the Copa del Rey despite a 3-0 victory over Atlético Madrid in the second leg.

The Catalan team failed to completely overturn the result after losing 4-0 in the first leg in Madrid.

Marc Bernal was the protagonist of the evening with two goals, while Raphinha scored with a penalty at the end of the first half.

Atlético Madrid defended with difficulty, helped by crucial saves from goalkeeper Juan Musso in the second half.

With this result, the Madrid team qualifies for the first final of this competition in more than a decade.

Barcelona thus ends its journey in the cup, where it was the defending champion.

In the final, Atlético will host the winner of the match between Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao.
