The two Albanian players leave Iran

The airstrikes by the United States and Israel on Iran have also had consequences in football.

The president of the Iranian Football Federation, Mehdi Taj, has stated that the national team's participation in this year's World Cup has been put in question.

According to him, the final decision belongs to international football institutions, but the current situation makes normal planning difficult.

Meanwhile, two Albanian footballers who were active in Iran, Yasir Asani and Regi Luskja, have left the country for security reasons.

Championships in Iran and Qatar have been suspended, while some international events in the region have been postponed.
