Serious injury, Real Madrid striker ends season and misses World Cup

Serious news has come for Real Madrid striker Rodrygo, who has suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

The injury was confirmed after medical examinations carried out the day after the match against Getafe. The Brazilian striker was injured a few minutes after entering the pitch, but managed to finish the match, albeit with visible discomfort.

Later scans revealed the full extent of the injury, ending his season. He also missed out on Brazil's World Cup.

For Real Madrid, this is a significant absence at a crucial stage of the season. Ahead of the match against Celta de Vigo, their attacking options are limited, as Kylian Mbappé is also absent through injury, while Franco Mastantuono is suspended.
