"Drama" for Turkey, eliminated from the World Cup

The Paraguay national team has achieved an important 1-0 victory over Turkey in the match valid for Group D of the World Cup.

The match started perfectly for "Los Guaraníes", who found the net after just 65 seconds of play thanks to a precise shot from distance by Matías Galarza.

Turkey responded by increasing the pressure and seriously risked Mert Muldur, whose header was stopped by the post.

Seconds before the end of the first half, Paraguay were reduced to ten men after Miguel Almiron was sent off. Despite numerical superiority throughout the second half, Vincenzo Montella's team failed to convert numerous chances with Can Uzun and Merih Demiral.

This result brings about Turkey's early elimination from the tournament, while Paraguay takes a big step towards qualification.
