Brazil gets its first World Cup victory, defeats Haiti with a "three-pointer"

The Brazilian national team has recorded its first victory at the World Cup, defeating Haiti 3-0 in Philadelphia.

After a disappointing draw in their opening match against Morocco, Carlo Ancelotti's side responded by taking the lead in Group C with four points. Striker Matheus Cunha was the star of the first half with two quick goals, before Vinícius Junior sealed the score at 3-0 before the break.

However, the victory of the five-time world champions was partly overshadowed by the injury to Raphinha, who was substituted early.

In the second half, Haiti tried to react and created a threat through Ricardo Ade, but goalkeeper Alisson Becker kept the goal intact.

With this loss, Haiti is officially eliminated from the tournament, while Brazil will seek qualification in the final match against Scotland.
