Dinamo wins the Albanian Cup, defeats Egnatia after 5 goals

Dinamo has won the Albanian Cup for the second year in a row. The capital team triumphed 3-2 over Egnatia in the final held at the “Air Albania” stadium.

Important success for Ilir Daja's team, which brings the number of Albanian Cup trophies in history to 15.

The match started off hotly from the start, with the Rrogozhina team reduced to 10 men. Bakayoko was sent off in the 6th minute after a harsh challenge on goalkeeper Aldo Teqja, who was stretchered off the field and taken to hospital.

With numerical superiority, the capital team launched an attack in search of the winning goal, which they found in the 23rd minute.

Malomo took advantage of an assist received from Nani in the area and sent the ball into the net, unblocking the match.

Just six minutes later, Davy Bregu doubled the lead, with a superb goal scored from outside the area.

The first half ended with this result, while the second half began with a red card for Dinamo. Malomo was punished with a second yellow card in the 51st minute, equalizing the number of players on the field.

After that, Egnatia went on the attack, but left spaces at the back, which were exploited in the 73rd minute by Lorenzo Vila. However, his goal was disallowed for offside.

In the 81st minute, Egnatia found the goal with Buricc, which narrowed the score to 2-1.

However, this time too, Dinamo's reaction was immediate. After a quick counterattack, Mustapha scored the third for Daja's team, in the 84th minute.

In extra time, Egnatia narrowed the score to 3-2 with a header from Adjesa, but failed to equalize.

In the end, there was no shortage of tension, where as a result of a clash between the staffs, coach Ilir Daja was sent off.

Now both Dinamo and Egnatia will focus their attention on the "Final Four", having secured qualification.
