Bundesliga/ Stuttgart knocks Leverkusen out of Champions League, hope for Hoffenheim

The penultimate week of the Bundesliga has brought important developments in the race for the Champions League zone.

Stuttgart achieved a convincing 3-1 victory in the direct confrontation against Bayer Leverkusen, climbing to 61 points in fourth place. The "Aspirin" drops to sixth place. Demirovic, Mittelstadt and Undav scored for the winners, while Aleix Garcia scored for the visiting team.

In parallel, Hoffenheim keeps pace with Stuttgart after a minimal 1-0 victory over Werder Bremen, thanks to a goal scored by Toure.

Hoffenheim, which features Albanian players Fisnik Asllani, Leon Avdullahu and Albian Hajdari, remains in fifth place with equal points with fourth place. On the other hand, Leipzig has mathematically secured participation in the Champions League for next season after a 2-1 success against St. Pauli.

With this result, Leipzig secures third place with 65 points, while St. Pauli is seriously at risk of relegation.

Leverkusen remain in sixth place with 58 points, falling short of their main target. Everything will be decided in the final week, when Hoffenheim play away to Borussia Monchengladbach.
