After the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup draw ceremony, where Albania, if qualified from the play-offs, will be part of Group F with the Netherlands, Japan and Tunisia, the President of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, gave a statement to fshf.org, where he praised the event and spoke about the potential opponents of the red and blacks.

The head of the Albanian football government said that the national team's journey to reach the World Cup is difficult, but stressed that Albania will fight until the end to be part of the finals.

"The organization of the draw was fantastic. Only football can bring so many people together, important people in politics, very important people in the world of football, but also in other sports."

We are very happy to be part of this important event. Today was the first day, the organization of the draw and for this I want to thank the players of the National team and the staff, who have made it possible for us to dream of being part of this World Cup. Undoubtedly, our path is difficult. We have a very difficult match against Poland in Warsaw and if we pass it then we will play a final match against the winning team Sweden or Ukraine with the dream of being part of the World Cup.

"We will definitely continue to fight until the last minute and I have a lot of faith in our team, in their motivation and their desire to be part of the World Cup. I sincerely hope that we truly realize this dream, not only of the football team, not only of the Albanian Football Federation, but of all Albanians who love football," said President Duka.
