Weather situation in the northern region/ Snowfall returns

Snowfall has returned to the mountainous areas. On the Bogë-Theth and Lepushë-Vermosh axes, the snow depth exceeded 20 cm during the night.

The axles are open, but winter tires and, in some segments, chains are required.

The situation near the mountain slopes is more worrying, where there are rock slides as a result of the rain. In the municipalities of Vau i Dejës, Pukë and Fushë Arrëz, the roads are open, with the exception of some internal roads in the administrative units of Iballë and Fierzë, where passage is impossible.

Meanwhile, in the administrative unit of Gruemirë in Malësia e Madhe, there is a lack of electricity supply.

According to OSHEE, groups are on the ground and working to restore power.

There was intense rainfall in Lezha, with 50 mm of rainfall recorded in 24 hours, causing difficulties on several axes in the city./ CNA
