Serbo-Montenegrin minorities celebrate Christmas

The Church of Vraka in the Great Highlands

A holy mass was held in the church of Vraka in Malësi e Madhe, where the Orthodox believers of the Serbo-Montenegrin minority in Shkodër celebrate Christmas.

"It is one of the most important days, the day of the birth of Christ, we have a tradition to make a manifestation on the occasion of this event. We usually celebrate it in Vraka but also in Shkodër. We have good relations with the Albanians. We are integrated in life Albanian. Shkodra is a beautiful place to live. However, there are problems related to education, documentation, and pensions. These are problems that need some time ," said Pavlo Janko, the president of association "Rozafa Moraça"

Janko expressed concern about the mass departures.

"It's worrying because we miss them. You didn't talk about 1 and 2, but about 2,200 people who fled in a short period of time," said Janko

The holy mass in this church is held every year on January 7. /CNA
