The Italian journalist, Loris Castriota, has declared that he is the one who has the pure blood of the Castrioti family, being a descendant of Skanderbeg from the male line.

Loris denied the interview given by Sophie Castriota to "Euronews", that she is the great-granddaughter of our national hero.

In an interview given to the show "Goodmorning Albanians", the Italian journalist says that Sophie Castriota belongs to the Bernardini family, a branch of the Castriota family in the 1700s.

"A parallel branch of the family called Bernardini had this line of descent that reached Sophie Castriota. This is the letter, read it well and I have always been careful about the distance between my family and that of Bernardini.

This letter is signed by me. Then it's not called Castriota in the first place. You can read the contents of the letter and the genealogical tree is a succession of surnames, what happens laterally in the branches is not important because it no longer belongs to the same family.
