Epidemiologist, appeal to citizens/ "Be still alert for COVID-19"

Epidemiologist Alban Ylli has warned citizens that we still need to be vigilant about COVID-19 even though two years have passed.

During an interview with the journalist, Arlind Isa, Ylli said that COVD-19 has the ability to cause death.

 “Megjithëse nuk bëhet fjalë për krahasim të riskut sot, me atë që ishte para një viti ose para dy vitesh nga pandemia, është e pakrahasueshme, sërish të mos harrojmë që COVID-19 do të mbetet një preblem i madh i shëndetit publik. Në opinionin tim, i krahasueshëm, për të mos thënë më i madh se tuberkulozi, hepatiti apo SIDA. COVID-19 ka aftësi për të shkaktuar vdekje, në mënyrë të drejtpërdrejtë duke prekur sistemin respiratior, por edhe në mënyrë të tërthortë, duke prekur sisteme të tjera të qarkullimit të gjakut, sidomos te disa grupe të popullsisë./CNA.al
