A new symptom caused by Covid-19 is identified

A new long-lasting Covid symptom has been discovered by scientists.

The discovery comes as another new Covid variant called Eris is spreading in the UK.

The symptom refers to a condition known as acrocyanosis, which usually appears on the hands and feet, but can also appear on the nose and ears.

It happens when there is not enough oxygen in the blood in that part of the body, or when you have poor circulation.

The condition is not harmful, says the NHS.

Patients who experience this may not be aware that it could be a symptom of prolonged Covid and dysautonomia and may feel anxious about what they are seeing, experts tell The Sun.
