"Covid has become like the flu"/ Brataj: The cases of infected people have increased, there is no place for panic

The head of the National Emergency Center, Skënder Brataj, has confirmed that the number of cases of people infected with Covid 19 has increased.

According to Brataj, there is no room for concern since now the coronavirus has turned into a common viral disease that can be considered similar to a flu, despite the fact that a new subvariant of Omicron EG5 has started to circulate.

"There is a higher infection but it has not increased the mortality", said Brataj

Experts say there is no need to panic, although Omicron is still widespread in England, the US and China.

Although Covid has turned into a common viral disease, doctors appeal to be careful, especially the age groups at risk.
