Përbërësi tropikal që frenon natyrshëm shtimin në peshë

Sipas një studimi të ri, një bimë tropikale vendase në Kinë mund të jetë çelësi për të luftuar epideminë globale të obezitetit.

Shkencëtarët japonezë njoftuan se nga hulumtimi i tyre mbi veprimin e një ekstrakti nga bima Mallotus furetianus morën rezultate "të jashtëzakonshme" përsa i përket obezitetit, duke përshkruar se ekstrakti "shtyp ndjeshëm" rritjen e peshës trupore dhe të indit dhjamor.  Ata besojnë se gjetjet e tyre, të publikuara në Food Science and Nutrition , theksojnë potencialin e bimës si një përbërës i mundshëm ushqimor me vetitë e menaxhimit të peshës. Mallotus furetianus e ka origjinën nga ishulli Hainan, Kinë.

Një ekip hulumtues shumëkombësh ka studiuar më parë efektet e përdorimit të një ekstrakti të bimës për të parandaluar sëmundjen e mëlçisë yndyrore, por efektet dhe mekanizmat e saj kundër obezitetit mbetën të paqarta deri më tani. Për të hetuar çdo efekt kundër obezitetit të ekstraktit, ekipi hulumtues kreu një studim duke përdorur minj obezë.

Siç zbuluan ekspertët, trajtimi me bimën Mallotus furetianus shtypi ndjeshëm rritjen e peshës trupore dhe peshës së indit dhjamor . Studimi gjithashtu identifikoi ndryshime strukturore në mëlçinë dhe indin dhjamor të minjve.

Profesori i asociuar Akiko Kojima i Shkollës së Diplomuar të Jetës Njerëzore dhe Ekologjisë të Universitetit Metropolitan Osaka raportoi se ekzaminimi i mëtejshëm i mekanizmit zbuloi frenimin e sintezës së yndyrës duke shtypur shprehjen e faktorëve të ndryshëm të transkriptimit të përfshirë në "diferencimin e adipociteve".

Obeziteti është një faktor rreziku kryesor për disa sëmundje të lidhura me stilin e jetës, si diabeti dhe presioni i lartë i gjakut . Sipas Qendrës Amerikane për Kontrollin dhe Parandalimin e Sëmundjeve (CDC), më shumë se katër në 10 të rritur janë klinikisht obezë./ CNA
