The National Typological Folklore Festival of Folk Games and Rituals comes for the second time to the Municipality of Devolli, bringing together 8 performing groups from all over Albania. For the second edition in a row, the area of ??Devolli was chosen to hold this very special event that aims to promote the traditions and culture, not only of this area, but also of the areas of Albania.

8 participating groups from some of the municipalities of our country have performed on the first night of the event with traditional dances and folk games, showing their great importance for each area. This year's innovation is precisely the high participation of young people and children, who are following the beautiful tradition passed down from generation to generation, showing different and so beautiful performances for the public.

Sonila Bushi is one of the youngest girls of the representative group of Lezha Municipality, who participates for the first time in this festival. With a lot of emotions, she shows that they aim to transmit to the public the tradition of the city, where through the eyes of the little ones, they also show the cultural and folklore heritage of the adults.

"For us, it is the first time that we come to the city of Bilishti, we come from the district of Lezha. It is the first time that we come to this festival and we like it very much. We have prepared some traditional games and through them we want to transmit the tradition to the public of our city. We feel excited and I believe we will enjoy it. We may be small, but through our eyes we broadcast everything that the adults also broadcast. It would be great if the young people participate in these kinds of activities because it develops them a lot and prepares them for the future."

Devolli is among the tribes that point for hospitality, generosity, nobility and at the same time it is known for the main value of the devolliche dance. This is shown by Monika Muzikanti, an employee of the Cultural Center in Devoll, dressed in a traditional costume of this area. She says that the people of Devolli do not forget what they have inherited from generation to generation.

"The main characteristics of this province are hospitality, generosity, nobility and, at the same time, the value of the 'Vallen Devolliçe' values. The greatest importance is that we unfold the culture carried over from generation to generation, because culture is the one that knows how to speak the most beautiful language of of the body, of clothing, is our ethnography. What is evidence that we are an ancient people, a people who do not forget what they have inherited from generation to generation, is precisely the clothing that is kept not only as a beautiful relic in many villages of Devolli. , but also in everyday life. Niko Kotherja, director of the National Center of Traditional Activities, emphasizes the fact that this year there is an extraordinary number of young people and children who will perform folk games and rituals. this will be an edition with many colors, diversity and performing groups, which will make the work of the jury more difficult for awarding the prizes at the end of the festival.

"It is interesting that this year we have an extraordinary number of young people and children who will perform folk games and rituals, which come from the areas they represent. I believe that there will be an edition that will bring a lot of colors, variety, groups I believe that it will be a difficult job for the jury to give the awards at the end of the second night, but it is a very good initiative that shows the participation of young people, which gives us hope and confidence to understand that in In the future, not only will Albanian folk games not be forgotten, but there will be a strong heritage base."

The choreographer of the Cultural Center in Devoll, Sokol ?eka, shows that this area is quite rich in folklore, especially in traditional folk dances. He says that Devolli is welcoming for songs and dances, saying that this festival is comprehensive and harmonized for all age groups.

"Devolli is a very rich region in folklore, especially in folk dances. We have been working for days because this festival has already been mortgaged in Devolli. Devolli is a host for songs and dances. We have brought games of our region which are harmonized with all three age groups because this festival is inclusive. Everyone knows that the devil not only works the land, but also the art with which he relaxes."

On the first night of the festival, the public enjoyed the fantastic performances of 4 groups from Lezha, Elbasani, Gjirokastra and Dimali, while on the second night the groups from Devolli, Gramsh, Puka, Fieri and Lushnja will perform.
