The area of ??Prespa in our country is one of the most beautiful in the southeast, with its fantastic nature, tourist and cultural attractions, and moreover the hospitality of its residents. The focus for the greatest possible development of this area is precisely on tourism and the absorption of as many visitors as possible, and for this, the Pustec Municipality has planned a series of activities during this season that will give a different look to the area and make them even more popular in Albania.

"Macedonian Cultural Summer" comes for the 19th consecutive year in Prespa, with a special organization where on its first day, the exhibition of the well-known Macedonian sculptor, Sinisha Noveski, was shown. Full 5 days will be filled with various activities in Pustec, where the Macedonian minority of this municipality will join with the visitors from the neighboring country. The municipality of Pustec took care to welcome the Minister of Culture of the neighboring state, not only to be part of the activity, but also to get to know more about what the Prespa area has to offer. The first day of the activity was held near the museum of Sterjo Spasses in the village of Gollomboç.

CNA TV brings viewers very pleasant interviews with the organizers of this activity, with participating artists, who have told more about their impressions, about the close connection that Pusteci has with Macedonia, and about the desire for these connections to continue as long as possible. long between the two peoples.

The organizer of all editions of this festival is actor Edmond Sotir, born and raised in Lajthizë village of this municipality, which makes him very proud of the country he represents. For years, Edmondi has been living and working in Skopje, with a career of almost 20 years as an actor in the theater of this city. He shows that he wants to do more for Prespa, while also giving us details about what activities will be organized in Pustec.

"The festival is titled 'Macedonian Cultural Summer', it has been organized here for 19 years. I am the organizer from the beginning until today, I am from Lajthiza, I spent my childhood here but I live and work in Skopje in the comedy theater as an actor. During the summer, when we have free time, we want to do something more for this part of Albania. This year, for the first time, we are organizing an exhibition of sculptures by the Macedonian sculptor, Sinisha Noveski of a book that is of Macedonian folk songs by the Macedonians of Albania. We have a small concert and 3 theater performances for children and theater for adults that will be shown until July 5th."

The organization and promotion of these activities is very important for the two peoples, becoming a bridge between them. What the actor emphasizes is the fact that although Albania is not part of the EU, it presents more democracy than the countries that are part of it.

"They are very important. Such activities are a bridge between two states, two peoples, across the lake. They are activities that affirm not only culture, but also the Albanian state, Prespa, itself and the good of man. I am honored to be part of this project, even though I was born in Albania, I am proud to be a citizen of Albania. Albania is one of the countries of the Western Balkans that is not in Europe, but which has higher rights and democracy than European countries."

Sinisha Noveski, one of the most famous sculptors in Macedonia, comes to Albania for the first time to bring a very significant exhibition for the two neighboring countries.

Noveski says that in this exhibition he has displayed 10 sculptures, created in different materials, each of which contains a theme of its own. What the artist singles out is the sculpture of two women, holding a child, to tell the tale of good relations between the two states.

"It is the first time I come to Albania. I have a very positive impression of this country, the people are very nice, the landscapes are fantastic, and the museum where the exhibition is being held is also very unique. Today I exhibited 10 sculptures, in different materials , both in stone and bronze. The theme of my sculptures is people who have their own symbolism. This exhibition will also make a good connection between the two peoples, Macedonians and Albanians. In this exhibition, I have brought two peoples. I brought it by creating two women, where one gives the child to the other to take care of. This cultural activity is a good example for the good cultural relationship between Macedonia and Albania and I think it will continue in the future. "

Noveski's impressions of Albania and specifically of Prespa are among the best, starting with the people and their hospitality, cooking, architecture, nature and everything the area has to offer. Although it is his first time in Prespa, he wants to return again to see even more of this place.

"I have really good impressions of this country, I have met people and they have been very hospitable. The food is very good, the architecture is very similar to Macedonia. Also, you have the wonderful lake that gives another dimension to this country in Albania."

For the composer from Macedonia, Darija Andovska, this is the first visit to Pustec, while she has been to Albania several times. She has heard a lot about this place and says she can't wait to visit it.

"It is not my first time in Albania, but it is the first time in Pustec. I was looking forward to coming here because I have heard many beautiful things about the country. And yes, it is as I heard, with nature, with its colors, the lake and the impressive history it has."

Darija tells us more about her profession as a teacher and composer, highlighting the similarities between Albanian and Macedonian music. Among other things, her biggest wish is to further develop the cooperation between the university where she works and Albanian universities to keep the tradition alive.

"I am a lecturer at the university, I am a composer and I also teach in this field. We are trying hard to make collaborations, which have not developed much in the last decades. I know many composers from Tirana and I am trying to collaborate, exchange of experiences between our students. There are many similarities between Albanian and Macedonian music, everything is a mix and I notice that there are also many similar words, since we are two small countries."

The strong connection between the two countries, Albania and Macedonia, is clearly visible through these organizations that take place in minority areas, such as that of Pustec. For 5 consecutive days, the residents of this area, as well as other visitors from Albania and Macedonia, will have the opportunity to get to know, through theatrical performances and traditional music, the common culture of the two neighboring countries. This tourist season for the Municipality of Pustec will be full of activities, with the main goal of bringing as many tourists as possible to the area, even more than in other years./ CNA TV
