This Tuesday, Pogradeci took on a different appearance and festive atmosphere. German and Albanian motorcyclists joined the pedestrian street of the city with their performance showing again the friendship they have had for more than 2 years already. The German ambassador, Karl Bergner, also participated in the festive activity, who, since yesterday morning, visited the Municipality of Pogradec, the Buçimas administrative unit, and continued his visit to other beautiful places in the city. 9 aid trucks have been brought by the association of German motorists to be distributed in the area of ??Mokrra, in schools, kindergartens and outpatient centers of remote villages.

Juliana Dita is the one who made possible the connection of this association because she has been working in Germany for years, wanting the next city for charity to be her city, Pogradeci.

The day shows how he came into contact with the Germans and then how the idea was realized in 2022 for the first time.

"First of all, I thank you for the interview, and as I pointed out two years ago, this association is a guest at the restaurant where I run and manage with owner Valdet Rama in Germany, and during the conversation I asked them about their mission. They told me that help the countries of the Balkans by bringing equipment to hospitals, schools and kindergartens, and of course I had the idea to help my city Pogradec. We finalized this initiative in 2022 and it rarely happens that they go twice in such a short time to the same place."

Juliana further adds that two of the teachers from the Mokrra area have contacted her, telling her about the state of the schools in this area, it is here that Juliana decided to talk again with the motorcycle association to bring aid to Pogradec again.

"Looking at the situation in some villages and in some village schools, here I want to thank two school teachers, Mikael Ymeraj and Eftinoj Jakupi, who stopped me one day on the street and said: 'Juliana, we need equipment for our schools, for benches and chairs.' They brought them to me with photos and I talked with the association, with its chairman, and it was voted whether they would bring the aid to Pogradec. It was voted by a majority to bring them back here equipment for schools, kindergartens, for the disabled and many others. We want to distribute most of it in Mokër, in the deep villages, but also in the city."

Hannes Nielsen is one of the motorcyclists, part of the association, who together with his friends accompanied the trucks from Germany to Pogradec. He says that he really liked the city of Pogradec, although it was the first time he visited it, but the good words said by his friends made him come to this city with enthusiasm. Nielsen shows the aid brought this time to Pogradec, while promising that they will return to help the city again next time.

"I really like Pogradec. It's my first time here, but I heard very good words and here I am. I like it and it exceeded my expectations. This time we brought mostly materials for schools and kindergartens, for the little ones, who are the future of the country. Also, some things for the elderly in order to take care of them. We are always happy to help, each of us has a great desire to help and be generous. We are very happy that we are doing this in Pogradec, we know people to come here again, as well as to continue our cooperation and friendship. Most likely, this is the second time we come "there's a reason why we don't come for the third or fourth time. I like it very much, the people are very nice and friendly, we received a warm welcome from Dritan and others in the city, from the police and the people at the hotel indeed it is very pleasant here and very beautiful."

Just a few days ago, on CNA TV we exclusively covered details from the organization, where during an interview, the chairman of the Pogradec motorcycle association, Dritan Hoxha, told a lot about this activity.

Even in the next interview, Hoxha expresses himself quite enthusiastically about these kinds of activities that disprove the created myth that there are only old people in Pogradec.

"The time is not helping us much, but we will do the parade, we will also do a spectacle with motorbikes, we have prepared some bags for this. I am thinking of participating myself, I don't know how good I will be because of the accident I just went through so we think we will decorate the party. There are 10 motorcyclists who came from Germany to Albania to accompany the trucks. Pogradec is not a city of old people, I don't know why they labeled us in this way, while in The most famous singers in Albania and the Balkans have come to Pogradec. They have performed either here or in other tourist operators. Pogradec has super shows throughout the summer, not only with motorbikes, because we also have windsurfing shows on the lake.
