Vermoshi, the northernmost tip of the Republic of Albania, is one of the most preferred destinations for mountaineering.

Vermoshi 1060 meters above sea level is like an antechamber to climb the high peaks of the Alps.

Maja e Marlula is the highest quota of Vermoshi together with yesterday's Skrobotusha of the sawyers.

Nature unfolds a fantastic view full of vegetation and greenery, giving you a sense of peace.

On both sides of the valley rise steep mountain slopes covered with forests and pastures.

The apartments are scattered. They are built according to the characteristic style of very steep and high roofs of this area, due to the snowfall, which lasts approximately 100 days a year.

The arrival of tourists included Vermoshi in the program of 100 villages.

The area of ??Vermoshi is known for the high quality of dairy products. The food that is served is the traditional one of the area, where cheese, pork, lamb, potatoes, kaçamak, farlik, wild rabbit meat, potatoes, kaçamak, pickles, beans stand out, and for dessert, rhubarb and honey pancakes are mainly used.

In Vermosh, the pastures in the stables of Seferçe stand out the most, while there are many beautiful places such as the dead-end ravine of Doli, the "hanging" ravine of Skropatusha, and the Circus of Smutiroga.

The sources are mostly known by tribal names. But the most special in this area is the Gerçara Canyon, which is located at the exit of the Vermoshi valley. The canyon has a length of 1 km and a height of up to 40 m and can be visited through marked paths.

This area is also well known for the growth of medicinal plants, where there are more than 30 types, such as blueberry, salep, sturgeon, balsam, raspberry and many others.

Also, the many animals that grow in the two mountains that surround the Vermoshi valley, up to 2 thousand meters high, are not left behind. There are brown bears, roe deer, wolves, boars, wild goats and many rare birds, including the eagle, the symbol of Albania.

Vermoshi has a distance of 95 kilometers from the city of Shkodra. It is the largest village of the Albanian Alps.

The main activities that can take place in Vermosh are mountain climbing in the Marlula highlands or even walks in the deep alpine valleys of Lepusha and Cemi./ CNA
