The municipality of Maliqi organizes for the fourth time the "Colony of Painters", bringing together artists from all over Albania who will put on the canvas landscapes selected by them, in several different areas of Maliqi. An edition that is expected to be very successful, just like the three previous editions, where the painters have realized and will work on the realization of other landscapes in this area.

On the first day of the colony, the painters are positioned in the Pheasant Forest, which is the most special attraction that Maliqi has, for the reason that there are different animals in it and a wonderful nature full of colors and life.

The autumn season is the most beloved season for painters, as it carries a variety of colors that bring them a special emotion when they face nature.

For the painter Astrit Hizmaj, who has been living in France for years, where he works, says that he is participating in this edition for the first time. Hizmaj says that he is very impressed by the wonderful nature in this autumn season, although the climate is a bit cold, but he finds warmth in the landscape and hospitality in Maliq.

"Yes, it's the first time I come here to Maliq, I'm very impressed, the autumn is very beautiful, the nature, I harmonize it with the hospitality they gave me in Korça. The climate is a bit cold, but I'm very satisfied, I'll work I like autumn with the colors it gives.

They guided us to several points, but I said to look at the forest of Pheasants because it was interesting, with a green associated with the beautiful autumn. It drives us crazy in the fall."

The artist expresses the pleasure he is getting from the landscape in the Pheasant forest, showing that nature in this place is a miracle and, among other things, for him it is a double pleasure that he is meeting old friends.

"Today I am in this forest here, I will present autumn and what it gives, then I will continue with the upper part of Maliqi because there were very beautiful places. Nature is a miracle and it has all the things that painters look for.

I live in France, I've been away for a few years, I work there, but I also often come to the colonies that are organized here. I am very happy for these colonies because we gather with old friends, we discuss and it is better that we discuss in Albanian than in French."

Flutura Maçi is another painter who is joining this colony for the third time, showing her impressions of the forest of Pheasants and what she finds there. Maçi thought that in this activity he would put something on the canvas that he has not done before, stressing that the landscape in this area is a miracle of God, with the colors that painters prefer.

"Together we are spreading the culture and identity of our country, we are ambassadors of art and culture. For me, it is the third time I come to this art colony in Maliq, I come with great desire because here is a virgin, wonderful nature and people care for this nature, for the pheasants and other animals that surround this forest.

Today I think of doing something that I haven't done the other times, which we will see later. The landscape is a miracle of God, with extraordinary colors, with the yellow, red and green that we painters prefer so much. I love autumn."

Part of the colony for the third time is the Pogradec painter Kudret Durollari, who has chosen to put on canvas a part of the landscape at the entrance to the forest of Fazans. He shows that he is of Gorari descent, while through the landscape he is putting on the canvas he will bring out his impressions and the memories of his parents.

"For me, it is the third time that I participate, in the first place it is my duty to thank the Municipality of Maliqi for taking these initiatives and giving us the opportunity to put our emotions on the canvas in this area. I am of Gorari origin, the task arises to work on this landscape by throwing my impressions and the memories of my parents.

As soon as I arrived here, in the forest of Maliqi, I liked the front part because the weather today is a bit windy and does not favor me to develop a certain format smoothly, but I will close this process and continue painting".

Among other things, the Pogradecar painter says that autumn is the season that excites not only painters, but also art lovers, without leaving aside the importance of the winter season.

In this fourth edition of the colony of painters in Maliq, participants are 15 artists from Albania, who have come together to discuss and put their emotions on canvas in some of the most beautiful areas of Maliq. On the first day, the painters were positioned near the forest of Pheasants, while on the second and third day they will be stationed in the village of Podgorie and then in the valley of Devolli.
