But what connects the Albanian restaurant with the head of the Italian government? The owner Gjergj Luca is a big fan of Giorgia Meloni.

"This little woman with a soul as big as a mountain, she fights for the truth and is not ashamed to tell the truth. And the truth is that today in Europe her family is expanding", said Luca.

News about the restaurant spread quickly in Italy. These tourists from Venice have come to see it up close.

"This place is unique in terms of interior decoration. It is very characteristic and perhaps the only one of its kind", said the tourist.

The 70 portraits in "Trattoria Meloni" were painted by the well-known painter Helidon Haliti. It took him about three months of work to complete the entire work.

Does Meloni belong to his favorite politicians?

"I don't have a favorite at all, not even as a woman to be honest," said the painter, among other things.

But more than the portraits, it's the restaurant's location that has raised questions. "Trattoria Meloni" is located almost next to the port of Shengjin and not far from the Gjadri camp. The agreement between Albania and Italy was met with skepticism from the moment of signing.

Skepticism also accompanied the opening of the restaurant, linking the friendship of entrepreneur Luca with Prime Minister Rama.

Luca denies these claims and recalls the help that the Italians gave to the Albanians during the exodus of the 90s.

"I witnessed the second exodus and it was full of ships here. Today there are some ships, others are at sea when we saved thousands of children and elderly lives and sent them to Italy.
