"Sanremo Ice Cream"/ Kosovo ice cream, at the Berlin fair: We aim for internationalization

In Berlin, Germany, "Global Albanian Gastronomy", a gastronomy festival, takes place this Tuesday and Wednesday, October 3.

Dozens of companies, 110 in total, from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, the diaspora, but also German companies with Albanian ownership, participate in this fair.

Journalist Elvi Fundo talked with one of the Kosovo businessmen, who brought to the fair "Sanremo Ice Cream", an artisanal ice cream originally produced in Prizren and already sold in Berlin for a year.

"'Sanremo Ice Cream' is produced in Prizren, it is artisanal, with Italian recipes. Until now it has been traded in the market of Kosovo. We have been selling it in Berlin for a year. It is certified and controlled according to standards".

The plans of "Sanremo Ice Cream" are to internationalize the brand in the next 5 years.

"It is going very well in Berlin, the plans are from Berlin to spread throughout Europe. The concept is also very interesting for bars and gastronomy to be used. The goals are for this brand to become known in Europe in 5 years and then to internationalize".

Many other Albanian companies are part of this important activity that takes place in Berlin for two consecutive days and is expected to be visited by about 5 thousand people./ CNA
