"MUSAI" olive oil, at the Berlin Fair

30 years of customer service, targeting the German market

In Berlin, Germany, "Global Albanian Gastronomy" is held, a gastronomy fair, where more than 100 Albanian businesses from Kosovo, North Macedonia and the diaspora participate.

Journalist Elvi Fundo went to Berlin's "Arena Halle" to take a close look at the erected stands, which promote various Albanian products. Among them was the "Musai" olive oil, which has been marketed since 1995. The "Musai" oil factory is a family business with innovative technology.

"The company has been on the market since 1995, so next year we will be 30 years old. The product is certified organic. It is a super quality product. We produce an olive oil from the autochthonous Kalinjot variety of Vlora. The technology we use in our company is one of the latest technologies. Year by year we improve in technology. This has shown that the production is of high quality and we have been awarded 17 gold medals in international competitions."

"Musai" olive oil competes in the local and foreign market as a certified bio/organic product by international institutions. The oil is marketed in many countries of the world, including the American one, while it aims for a wider spread in Europe, specifically in Germany.

"We have the oil in the European market, also in England, but the best market we have is the American market. We have been very stable in the American market for years. In the European market, we have it in some clients, in some segments. We aim at the German market, it is one of the best markets, we have had it and we intend to relaunch it as a product. The Germans are a bit difficult, because they are not familiar with the superior quality of olive oil. Germans are used to mild oil, while the Calignot variety is characterized by a strong aroma and the best elements that oil should have."

"Musai" olive oil has been awarded 17 gold medals in international competitions. It is certified "Organic Extra Virgin Oil" by Bio Inspecta as well as USDA Organic. These certifications guarantee the BIO production of the product in all stages of production./ CNA
