19 countries, in competition/ Saranda hosts two underwater world championships

One of the most important events in underwater sports is taking place these days in Saranda, where the coastal city is organizing the 20th World Championship of Underwater Photography and the 6th World Championship of Underwater Video, organized by the Albanian Diving Federation, with the President Igli Pustina and CMAS (World Confederation of Underwater Activities).

This is the first event of this kind to be held in Albania, with the participation of 19 countries, bringing a great innovation to the city of Saranda and Albania in terms of tourism.

The championship aims not only to promote underwater sports, but also to raise awareness of the beauty and preservation of underwater life. The races are taking place in the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea, where participants are capturing stunning images of marine flora and fauna.

The atmosphere is lively and dynamic, with many activities accompanying the championship, including exhibitions, cultural presentations and underwater competitions. An indisputable success for Saranda, which hopes to remain a reference point on the international map of underwater sports and to promote Albania on a global level./ CNA
