"SPAK has done an excellent job"/ Wadephul: I was convinced of this

The Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany, Johann Wadephul, visited Tirana today as part of a regional tour that he will take in the Western Balkans.

At the joint conference with her Albanian counterpart Elisa Spiropali Wadephul said that the heart of a democratic state is independent justice and stated that she had exchanged opinions on this with the head of SPAK Altin Dumani and after this meeting was convinced that the Special Structure has done an excellent job. The German minister said that his country will support the Albanian government in this regard with the belief that the government supports SPAK.

 

"If Albania continues on the path it has started, the chances of membership are very high.

An independent justice system is of central importance as it is the heart of a democratic society.

I have exchanged my thoughts with the head of SPAK, the fact that if Albania makes progress in this direction, we appreciate it. In managing these challenges, we stand shoulder to shoulder with the Albanian government.

"In my opinion, SPAK is doing an excellent job and I was convinced once again after the meeting with Duman. This structure receives support and I have no doubt that the government gives its support to this structure ," declared Wadephul./ CNA
