The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, accused Prime Minister Edi Rama today of using 83 mandates only to save himself from government scandals.

In his speech during the meeting with the heads of Tirana branches, Berisha emphasized that this act was undertaken in a brutal manner.

According to the leading democrat, the prime minister has not stopped there, despite repeated warnings from key EU partners.

"This meeting is taking place because in an extraordinary situation, you must respond with extraordinary measures. The country is in an unprecedented situation. Rama removed every mask to save his skin. He brutally blocked the operation of the justice system. Rama used his 83 criminal mandates to leave the keys to that branch of power without which there is no separation of powers, without which power is totally in the hands of one man. Rama took this act even after strong protests from the opposition, even after repeated warnings from the main international partners in the European integration process, but also from other partners", - said Berisha. /CNA
