Democratic MP, Xhelal Mziu, raised his concern today regarding the decisions on protected areas in the country.
In his speech during the meeting of the Committee on Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, Mziu stated that the persons who will serve as sheriffs of the area should be individuals who pass through filters.
Mziu added that this caution is necessary because the situation in these areas is creating conflicts between surrounding property owners.
"The protection of fauna, the environment, and others, are very important elements for the ministry. If it is so important, why were constructions carried out even in areas where there is international protection? We also have the 'Mountain Package', which in a way also creates conflicts between the owners and heirs of a surrounding property. You say that people will also be determined who will monitor as sheriffs of the area, who will cover certain areas. Let's know who the filter of those people is", said Mziu. /CNA
