"Leader in the anti-corruption fight/ Gjiknuri: SPAK has struck like never

The Secretary General of the Socialist Party, Damian Gjiknuri, in his speech in Parliament, spoke about the role of SPAK in the fight against corruption, which he said is growing.

Gjiknuri said that KPSK has many challenges, but as never before, it has hit a political environment that prejudices it.

Further, the socialist MP said that SPAk should be supported for the strength it has shown and that modern investigation standards should be demanded.

 

" I cannot fail to mention the role of SPAK in the fight against corruption and crime, a role that is growing. This institution is growing, the fact that we now have attacks from many groups and an increased trust of international partners in this body shows progress that no one can deny."

SPAK faces many challenges, especially the sophistication of crime and the latest methods of hiding and transferring assets, as is the case with cryptocurrencies.

SPAK has become a headline in the fight against corruption, striking like never before, in a political environment that is prejudiced because it is not used to it, has different positions on the measures applied to the same criminal figures and a feverish desire from political or media segments to make popular judgments.

When SPAK is seen by others as a body that will determine the order of punishments, this is the worst service they do to justice, forgetting that only the GJKKO issues the final punishment with integrity and away from the political pressure of the day.

"SPAK should be supported for the strength it has shown and at the same time demand contemporary standards of investigation ," said Gjiknuri.
