Rudina Hajdari: The Democratic Party must be united to take Albania's fate

Former Democratic MP, Rudina Hajdari, commented today on the situation created within the Democratic Party.

Invited to A2 CNN, Hajdari stated that above all, in the current situation and facing the majority, the DP must be more united than ever and reflect on its role in taking the country's destiny into its own hands.

"It is an extraordinary day for Democrats. All those who are part of the membership love the Democratic Party despite the challenges it faces. But it is important to be united and reflect on the role we have in taking control of the country's destiny."

The DP is at a crucial moment, facing a government that, according to it, has completely lost legitimacy.

We need to show comparisons with other countries, explain to citizens how their taxes are being stolen, and offer clear alternatives for managing the country.

"The Democratic Party cannot allow the debate within it to lose focus on the government and everyday corruption. Rama knows that the DP is not unified in its messages. If the opposition were more focused and professional, it could be in power today," Hajdari said./CNA
