Prime Minister Edi Rama focused on his views regarding the period of the communist regime in Albania.

On the show "Opinion", Rama said that in his assessment, the greatest damage of communism is the "radiation" it left behind in society.

According to Rama, there are still people who carry the same method of treating opponents as in communism, mentioning the leader of the Democrat Party, Sali Berisha.

"I have been anti-communist and anti-fascist from the beginning. The history of the rights of dictators is as complicated as it is simple. Some things have been done, but the cost was catastrophic. I think that communism, if we talk about legible and quantifiable damage in human wounds and lives, is like the work of Chernobyl, which has damage from both the explosion and radiation.

The damage I have observed since then is that, by not allowing the idea of ??the other to arise, not of the opponent, but of the other who has a different way of thinking and who for this reason must be eliminated, a bad relationship has been created between each other in political and social life. The other continues to be considered the enemy and this has brought about public degeneration.

This is profound and is related to the great misfortune that an ultra-fanatic communist turned into a conservative, using the same party's method. The only person who has radiated that energy is the one whose name I am not mentioning, out of respect for myself, because the lynchings in the party have continued using the same method: beating the opponent and introducing him into the other's family.

"The violence that characterized that system was transfused into this phase by the one there (Berisha)," Rama said. /CNA
