SP requested the expulsion of 29 MPs/ Korreshi: The Ethics Committee meeting

The Ethics Committee met today to review the Socialists' request for the expulsion of 29 opposition MPs.

Opposition representatives have requested that the meeting be held with open doors, objecting to the procedures being followed against opposition MPs.

MP Korreshi stated that the meeting should be open to the public, emphasizing that an attempt is being made to expel 29 opposition MPs without due process and transparency. He demanded that the evidence on which the decisions are based be made available to the opposition and made public.

"You are seeking to expel 29 opposition MPs without right. It is imperative that the evidence be made available to us and that it be public," said Korreshi.

The opposition considers the process unfair and non-transparent, while warning that the lack of openness and full information will undermine the legitimacy of any decision that may be made during the meeting./ CNA
