Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke in today's episode of his podcast "Flasim" regarding the protests that have been taking place for two weeks in Tirana and other cities in the country.

Rama said that these protests have brought problems such as cancellations of reservations by foreign tourists.

Another problem, according to him, is the bullying on social networks towards those people who, according to him, do not think like the protesters. Among other things, he added that in the protest there is a fascist spirit that is shown in Albania, it belongs only to Albanians, and not to others.

The head of government stressed that if cancellations continue, this tourist season will not be successful, but will be sabotaged by the citizens of Albania themselves.

"Even those who protest, some want things to go better and are worried about how development will go in Zvërnec. Meanwhile, the other, dominant part is not that they do not want things to go well, but the way they want things to go, the worst is coming for Albania. Here I am referring to the small parties that remained small, the influxes that come from other territories, what connection do they have with this topic that has to do with Vlora and only Vlora has not caused a protest, because they want development.

Going to Vlora, I want to focus on a problematic symptom, the cancellations of reservations for the season by foreign tourists. I cannot fail to say that in Vlora and Durrës there have also been protests by tourist operators, awareness-raising protests where they ask for understanding so that the season is not damaged. Another very disgusting symptom is bullying against people on Facebook and Instagram.

There is a fascist spirit that does not need uniforms and weapons. The fascist spirit is what Albania says about Albanians and everyone else outside. The fascist spirit is when you say I want to speak, to protest, but I do not want and do not accept that others have an opinion different from mine.
